Watching movies or TV shows...Make sure your internet download speed is at least 4-6mb.
OK, so what the big deal about internet speed, you say...
You will need at least 4-6mb download speed to minimise buffering and interruptions to the streaming of movies via your internet connection. Some programs require less and some programs require more download speed, sadly, thats just the nature of streaming online.
Remember that the speeds are measured at the device. This means that if you test your speed at the device and it is significantly lower than your internet speed plan, the problem could be in how you connect from the device to your home network router.
Connecting to your home network wirelessly (WIFI) can often be slower than connecting using a powerline adapter. Directly connecting your network media player to your router using an Ethernet cable is your best choice.
You may have a good WIFI connection to your laptop, however this will not always translate to good reception to your Multi Media TV Box. In fact in most cases, if you have a 2mb speed to your laptop, it is most likely that your speed to TV Box device is 1mb.
All our TV Boxes have been programmed with an Internet Speed Tester, to ensure you identify any potential improvements in speed, that may be required.
Just remember, a weak signal and disruption in the transmission on your mobile phone, is similar to the buffering that may occur when watching a movie via the internet.
So therefore we say, GO, high speed internet, National Broadband Network or whatever it takes, to bring Australian homes on par with most other developed countries.
